Central Mississippi Veterinary Clinic

I am not normally one to leave a review but in this case I feel I should share my experience. This is not my normal vet but we moved quite a distance from our regular vet and we thought we would give this clinic a chance to be our new regular vet. However I will not be using this clinic ever again. The people were definitely nice and friendly but I feel we were extremely over charged! My dog had been hit by a car and needed a few stitches and staples, he was favoring his front shoulder but after the exam the Dr said he didn't feel there was anything broken. I knew my dog was not in too bad of shape. I was given an estimate of almost $800 to fix him up. I knew immediately that price was insane! Comparing to a situation a couple of years prior with a different dog who had been in a fight with a coyote. His lip had to be sewn back together and he had bites and punctures all over needing all kinds of treatment and medicines, at my regular vet the cost was under $400 to take care of him and they even kept him over night. He made a full recovery.

So I knew this price of $800 for a dog with way less injury was insane. I politely told the Dr there was NO way I could pay this. They were able to get the price to around $400 and this DIDNT even include x-rays. So they fixed my dog up and I picked him up that afternoon. 10 days later I brought my dog back to have stitches and staples removed and was charged $32 to have stitches and staples removed. My regular vet and many others ,I found, don't charge to remove stitches and staples. My dog made a full recovery, which I was thankful for, but a few days later I noticed that there were still some staples in my dogs leg that hadn't been removed. So I was charged to have the staples removed and the job was not even completed. Needless to say this clinic will NEVER get my business again.

My family has been in the Magee area for 7 years in April. We moved from Indiana in 2005, and 4 days after we moved in, we needed a vet. Not knowing anything about the area, we turned to our neighbors, and asked them who is the best vet. They recommended Dr. Scott. I called late in the morning, and had an appointment in the early afteroon. Dr. Scott was so thorough and he took time with us. He was so gentle with our dog. I was very impressed. Needless to say, Dr. Scott pinned down the problem, prescribed the proper medication and our Daisy is still a healthy dog.

Dr. Scott is on speed dial at our house and always will be. He and his Staff are #1 in my book. They are more than the people who keep my pets healthy,,,,they are like family to me.

Thank you Dr. Scott for all of your help over the years, and thanks to your wonderful Staff too.

First of all, I think every website that allows someone to write reviews, should require that person to use their real name and provide a phone number for verification. Only cowards and crooks will slam someone hiding behind a false name. Dr. Scott Kennedy and his staff has been a savior to my rescues over the years. My husband and I take in the dogs that no one else will touch except Dr. Kennedy and his staff. The victims of dog fights, abuse and neglect are what we see and Central MS Veterinary Clinic is always there to help us no matter what time of day or night. I prayed hard for a vet that cared more about animals than they did the money for years before I found Scott Kennedy. And may I say that my prayers were more than answered. The staff at CMVC are angels on this earth and I thank God for them every day. Their hearts are in it for the animals not the money. They have sat at the clinic with me and one of my rescues on holidays and all night long doing what they needed to do to save it. I LOVE THEM!!!!

Dr. Scott and his staff have all taken such great care of my pets. My dog would not have survived without Dr. Scott's persistence and determination to find the answers. My baby is still with me and has a good quality life thanks to everyone in the office! Even when my cats act like demons, they are treated with kindness because Dr. Scott and his staff all understand them and work quickly and efficiently to give them the best care possible. My pets are not the only animals that I have seen receiving superior care - I have seen the sick and thrown-away cats and dogs that Dr. Scott and his staff have rescued because they are compassionate people and really do care about animals! I also really appreciate the Healthy Pet Club offerings for my animals! This is such a great way to pay for the cost of my pets' annual check-ups throughout the year instead of one lump, AND I get a discount on my babies' medications and other good stuff!

I know that I will continue to take my pets to Dr. Scott because he has proven to me that he cares about them, and I recommend that anyone who wants quality care for their pets visit him!!

"I can personally say that Dr. Scott and his staff do a wonderful job of caring for my pets!!!" I've been taking my pets to Dr. Scott at Central Mississippi Veterinary Clinic for over 5 years now. They are wonderful people and he is a great vet! They are kind, honest, caring and do a wonderful job! I don't know about you, but that's everything I look for in a veterinarian. Heck my pets get treated better at Dr. Scott's clinic than I do when I go see my personal doctor!!! And I know for a fact that this clinic does a great deal of work for the community in the way of helping underprivledged and sick animals who otherwise would not be helped at all - and they do not seek recognition or fame for doing it! (they are helping because they want to!)

I would highly recommend Dr. Scott and his staff to any one who truly loves their pet and wants the best care for them! I would never take my pet anywhere else!

How dare you sir! My veterinarian happens to be the most thoughtful and compassionate veterinarian around this area! All I have to say is you get what you pay for. I have used Dr. Kennedy for 6 years and would NEVER go to another clinic! My animals have always gotten the best care and the entire staff assists in every aspect of your pets health with the most professionalism possible. For you to even think much less write that he is vicious is crazy! He and is staff happen to be the sweetest people in town. Honestly I know of several people who would disagree with every word of your review!

We were new to the Magee area and were trying to reach a veterinarian, because our new puppy, Sammy, was sick. DR. KENNEDY'S OFFICE WAS THE ONLY CLINIC TO RETURN OUR CALL!! Dr. Kennedy suggested we bring Sammy right in to get him checked out. This clinic saved Sammys life and we are so grateful because he is such a little blessing. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON AND WE WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE! They seemed honest, caring and knew what they were doing. We love Dr. Kennedy and his caring staff!
