Hopkins County Board of Education is the board of Hopkins County School, located in Madisonville, Ky., and administers elementary, middle and high schools. It meets twice a month to discuss school district policies and implementations of various programs and activities. The school district administered by it, offers classes to students in grades kindergarten through 12. It provides special educational programs and activities to students with disabilities the homeless, and adults. It also provides adolescent day care services. The school district s detailed curriculum includes language, science, creative writing and media studies, technology, mathematics, social studies, fine and performing arts, and physical education. Its school libraries offer a wide collection of books, journals, magazines, audiovisual materials, and reference books. In addition, it also provides various languages, science and mathematics, and sports clubs. It has a parent-teacher association that assists in various school activities. The school district provides meal, health care, transportation and counseling services.
