Hertz

We recently rented a convertible for our honeymoon and wedding. We were very excited to have the car. When we picked it up it had bald tires, and there had been coffee spilled in the vehicle. We had to stop multiple times on our trip to re-inflate the low air pressure in the tires. When we called about the issues, they said they would take some money of the rental. Perfect.



Upon showing up at 7 AM on Monday morning when they opened, the girl was very helpful, and rang us out. The bill was less than I expected, but I was assured this was because they wanted us to be happy with our experience with Hertz. Great right.... WRONG!



I had paid cash, and after I left, they took the debit card information we had left for pre-approval, and charged us an extra $385 for their error in calculating the discount they were giving us. In addition, when I called to ask what the charge was for, they lied multiple times about calling us and leaving messages. I have no problem paying what was owed, but I'm pretty sure it's illegal to take $ for your error without authorizing it. I'll be contacting the better business bureau ASAP, and Visa to see if we can get it settled. The Manager "Nate" also apparently faked the receipt, so that corporate says they are unable to help.



I would avoid renting a vehicle at this location.
