Chis does great work at very reasonable prices - better quality than the big guys at a substantially lower cost. You can't beat that! I would strongly recommend calling him when you need plumbing help. He has become our plumber. I wouldn't even think about calling anyone else anymore. :)

Chris is the best. He came highly recommended, and having worked often with him, we see why. He tells customers how to do the job they need for the least money possible, gives them all the options for the job, shows up on time, and works hard the entire time rather than knocking off early, or heading off to "lunch" forever, or just disappearing, the way so many contractors do.

Being a first-time home buyer, my experience with plumbers has been limited. I've mostly heard the horror stories of friends, or have seen the frustration on my Dad's face when he realizes he paid money for a sub-standard job.



I asked around, hoping to get a break on who was reliable. Chris was recommended by my housing inspector so I decided to take the plunge [pun intended].



Chris was polite and professional; and the best thing was that he came out to inspect the issues (two bad shower valves and a cross connection) at no charge! He said he give me an estimate, and if I didn't like what he had to say, or the cost, I could check with someone else, and I wouldn't owe him a thing!



My house didn't have any faucet-level shutoff valves (only the main shutoff), and I had asked him if he could put a few in under each faucet around the house. He took a look at the pipe and told me that it would be pretty easy to put them in myself. He even told me how to do it! He could have easily done the work himself and charged me for it, but by doing it myself, I probably saved at least $75!



As for the cross connection (cold water feeding into the hot water pipes or vice-versa), he worked with me for about 20-30 minutes to narrow down where the root cause was (my kitchen faucet cartridge). I ended up buying a new faucet (installed it myself), but the great thing was that even though he spent the extra time to help me find the problem, he didn't charge me for the time.



I can't say enough good things about Chris.

First of all, he does an exellent job!



Besides, he's very honest and reasonable with his pricing, and, is very nice.



After being ripped off by a terrible plumber, I was so glad to meet him to fix the plumbing issues at my property. He was recommended by a plumbing company in town, and, the company also agreed Chris Elke plumbing has a good reputation. I would recommend him to all my family and my friends in town.
