West Central Illinois Special Education Cooperative is located in Macomb, Ill., and offers special education programs to the students. Its curriculum focuses on pre-academics, life skills and vocational development. It offers adaptive physical education, including assistive technology, audiology, autism consultative services, and address the behavioral needs of the students. It provides medical and second opinion assessment, including multiple disabilities programming, and physical and occupational therapies. The cooperative offers prevocational services, such as social work and language pathology transition. Its vision impaired programming includes services, such as itinerant, consultant, Braille services, and orientation and mobility services. High modular programs are available for students who have behavioral problems. It also provides online resources to teachers for general and special education to address the needs of the students with mental disabilities.
