I am a native of Pittsburgh, Pa, but have lived in Louisville since 1973. After our youngest child started school, I returned to graduate school, earning my MSSW in 1990. After working on the adolescent units at Norton Hospital and Our Lady of Peace Hospital for several years, I was hired by Dr. Wolfgang Kuhn, a psychiatrist in private practice in Louisville who saw adults only. It was there that I discovered I really loved working with adults and couples. We worked together very happily for almost 10 years before I ventured out on my own. Doing so enabled me to have more free time to travel back and forth to care for my elderly mother in Pittsburgh. I eventually put my practice on hold for almost 3 years to care for her full time. It was a time of many blessings for us both and I am thankful I was able to do it. I resumed my practice on a part-time basis in 2012. I use an eclectic approach in therapy, suited to the needs and strengths of the individual. I am Level II certified in EMDR and feel comfortable seeing those who have been victims of trauma. I treat clients with depression, anxiety, a history of abuse, issues surrounding grief or illness and many other conditions/issues. My husband of 44 years and I have three grown children and two grandchildren, so far. My hobbies are photography, thrift shop shopping, reading, gardening and traveling.
