The Foxy Hound

I have been taking my dog to Foxy Hound since he was 6 months old. I have a Labradoodle with a lot of coat. The owner is always there and takes special care to make sure I can talk with the groomer each time to discuss any special needs. Once my dog had gotten very matted after a camping trip. The groomer said the mats could be combed out but that she felt it would be unfair to my dog to put him through the extra hours on the table that it would take. She said she could do it but she would rather do it in two days so it wasn't so stressful on him or gave me the option to cut him down. I was pleased that she gave me all the options and that it was up to me. I decided to keep his coat and we did the process in two days. First day was just combing, then came back the next day for the bath and trimming. He looked beautiful and still had his full curly thick coat. She also spent extra time with me teaching me how to brush him out so he would not get matted.



The staff if always friendly, the place is very clean. You will pay extra if you bring in a matted dog but I would rather pay extra than to go back and find my dog shaved.
