        The atmosphere is good. The food is good. Try their fajitas and tamales. I loved their salsa.

        I love El Cholo Restaurant. When you step into the restaurant it's like walking back in time. The food is great and so is the service. Hats off to El Cholo

        In 1927, George and Aurelia Salisbury opened El Cholo Restaurant in Los Angeles. The restaurant features authentic and traditional Mexican dishes. Its specialties include green corn tamales, enchiladas and fajitas. El Cholo Restaurant has a Spanish-influenced architecture that is accented with hand-painted arches, rustic ceiling timbers and traditional Mexican touches. Its interiors feature soft lighting, large wooden booths and photos of early Los Angeles history, family, friends and celebrities. The restaurant additionally includes full-service bars, fireplaces, patio dining areas and private banquet rooms. It operates a store that sells T-shirts, shirts and hats. El Cholo Restaurant is located in Los Angeles, and provides catering services. In addition, it offers gift certificates of several denominations.
