The corporation was established for the sole purpose of sharing their dream with other people who wanted to own their own hobby store. This store carries a huge range of hobby products from RC Cars, Boats and Planes, to Plastic Models, Model Trains, Slot Cars and on and on. They also stock spare parts for the moving models, as well as a full line of paints and assembly tools for all models. Granted,it is a chain so its selection is based on best selling models, but in the modern world, carrying the most popular items is the best way of making the best use of their limited space and inventory $$. Considering the HobbyTown stores in general have outlasted many local hobby shops, the plan must be working.
I find the staff to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Given the range of items they sell, many of which are very technical, I found them ready to help the beginner and expert alike. The only complaint I might have is that the location closest to my home closed. Buy from these stores, we need all the full service hobby shops we can get!
Hobbytown seems to delight in carrying merchandise at retail prices. No discounts, unless they are trying to get rid of something. Selection is not great, either, as they are spread too thin over several hobbies.

It is unfortunate that you feel that we only offer product at retail prices. If you shop the area I am confident that you will find that we offer everything in our store at very competitive prices. I don't know of a full-line hobby store in the area that beats our prices. We also offer all of our customers a rewards program that effectively offers 5% off on everything you buy. As far as our selection, I would like to point out that our Westminster store is the 3rd largest HobbyTown in the country and our Fort Collins Store is the 9th largest. The Longmont store services a smaller market and does not carry the quantity of parts that the other 2 stores, but we carry most of the same items, just not as many. We here at HobbyTown strive to provide great customer service and support the products that we sell to the fullest extent.
