Hukelau Restaurant

Most disgusting Chinese food I've ever eaten. Since it's close to home and quick takeout we've had plenty of opportunities to try it and have made excuses for the horrible food (it was a Sunday, we ordered close to closing time, etc.) NOPE!! It's just absolutely disgusting food. Even things you think they can't possibly mess up Hu Ke Lau manages to do so. After suffering through and throwing away takeout box after takeout box, it's safe to say we will never get food from there again. waste of money and an absolutely miserable experience, time after time. At least their disgusting and stomach turning food is consistent - that's the nicest thing I can say about a restaurant known around longmeadow as the "Huke and Puke."

A friend and I decided to stop in to have a cocktail after shopping in the plaza. We walked in and not one person came to us to greet us or sit us so we walked over to the bar and sat ourselves. This rude waitress threw menus on the table and walked away. she procedded to have a conversation with a man at the bar about a party she was having over the weekend. Finally comes to ask us what we wanted to drink, ordered our drinks and thought everything was going to be ok. She walked away and procedded to finish her conversation. We looked over the menu and decided on sushi that was on an insert in the everyday menu. She finally came over to us to take our order. I asked for sushi and she said we only do sushi friday and saturday. Well now what, i dont eat meat. So my friend asks a few questions about the chicken and it was 11.95 for chicken with no rice. Then says its all thigh meat and you pay 1.00 extra for white meat. She says fine. The food comes over in a weird 3 minutes. She takes a bite and spits it out because she cant chew it. The waitress came over finally, and my friend says she doesnt like it. The waitress says ok and hands us a 37.00 bill. So she not only asked why or if she can get her something else but she over charged us by 10 dollars. Then I get the "manager" and he tells us she has to pay 1/2 price because he doesnt understand why she didnt like it and they still had to pay for it. This was the worst experience ever. No wonder they had 2 people in the restaurant
