Mavis Discount Tire

Phil is a great manager over there at Mavis. He is willing to help with issues and answer any questions without making you feel dumb. And with guys like Wayne in the shop working on the cars you know you are in good hands. No complaints from me only good experiences.

I purchased four brand new tires on Fri., 4/13/12 at Mavis in Long Beach. I also purchased the hazard warranty on each tire. A mile after I drove away I heard a rattling sound on the passenger side for a couple of seconds. I drove around the block to see what may have caused the sound and found a measuring tool for tires on the side of the road. Conclusion: the object had been left in one of the wheel wells during installation and fell out while I was driving. I stopped by the establishment on 4/19/12 and spoke with the representative whom I had purchased the tires from, told him what happened and he thanked me for returning the measuring tool. The very next morning, 4/20/12, with just over 180 miles on the new tires, I sustained a rear passenger flat tire. I was shown a big gash in the side of tire. They say I can't prove that the object caused the blowout and, although I have the warranty, I am still being charged with the tire balancing and the new warranty on the replacement tire despite my assertion that it was their own workmanship that caused the blowout which, again, they claim I can't prove. Although the total with sales tax is just over $30, it's the principle of having to pay this new charge after the likelihood of the cause of the flat tire which has precipitated me to post this review.
