I will never go back. Was asked to pay$100. When I showed her a coupon for $45. Off, the receptionist charged me $45. The nurse did not know how to use a balance beam scale, I had to do it for her, didn't know how to use a bp cuff, or an ear canal temp gauge. Improper use of equipment, no training, no diagnosis that made sense, was just told to do a follow-up with my doc. Doctor was creepy.

I went there yesterday due to a back issue and them taking my insurance. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The receptionist claimed that it was her first day on the job but yet no one was training her. She didn't want me to use the restroom because the amount for my deductible might come through and I should wait. I said that she had my license and insurance care therefore I wasn't going anywhere. She didn't even have a card machine. She had to call someone and they ran it through then sent her a fax for me to sign. The nurse wasn't any better. She wasn't friendly at all and I'm thinking why are you in the nursing business. She never once said, "Hi" or treated me in a friendly, kind, understanding way. She was rude and asked me to take my shirt off or push the sleeves up to get my blood pressure. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt. She left the room and didn't say a thing as to when the doctor would be in or how many people were ahead of me. Dr. Issa is HORRIBLE! He's telling me that I have high blood pressure due to my weight and age. "Things change" he tells me. I was in major pain at the time. I've never been diagnosed with high blood pressure. He wanted to charge me $30 for a shot to get me feeling better and supposedly my insurance company wouldn't pay for it. I didn't have an extra $30 so I declined. I"ll NEVER go back there. I'll find another urgent care that accepts my insurance during the day. I was there for 3.5 hours before leaving and they only showed Dora the Explorer on the tv. It was a horrible experience! Dr. Issa was like do I know you. I had never seen him before nor will I again. I don't do to people who are rude and condescending to me!

Without a doubt the most surreal, bizarre experience I have ever had with a doctor. In fact I use the term "Doctor" with trepidation.

I saw Dr. Issa. Backstory: My mother had contracted scabies with in a nursing facility. She was treated and eventually it cleared up although it took 2 months. Some weeks after she was finally cleared up and itch free I noticed I had some bites. Now by this time she was in a nursing facility for a few days for physical therapy after a fall, and I was very concerned that I might have scabies and didn't want to re-infest her when she came home the next day. With no time to get a regular doctors appointment I went to Urgent Care.

Dr Issa told me "scabies is a myth". I protested that my mother had them recently and they even did a biopsy to confirm it when it took so long to clear up. He said "Biopsies are only for cancer" "Scabies can only be caught from live chickens running around your house like in the old country. And then it only affects between your fingers."

I asked him if not scabies then what kind of bites they were. He said "the skin can have many problems". He gave me a prescription for itch cream and said I needed a Vitamin B shot... which would cost me an extra $20.

Insane is the word that comes to mind.

Doctor was great. In and out in less than an hour and the doctor broke down to me in English not medical terms

Overall
Horrible

The front desk is slow and does not know how to process medical claims. I have ppo insurance was told by ins. that this facility was approved to use. I paid because I needed medical attention. Not only did I pay but so did my ins. And now I keep getting the run around to get reimbursement. Would never recommend this facility!

Excellent care! I took my son ...

Excellent care! I took my son here because he couldn't get an appointment with his PCP. The staff was prompt and professional. Doctor Allen was extremely kind and knowledgeable. My son has a fear of doctors but immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Allen. Dr. Allen thoroughly explained my sons condition to me and answered all of my questions. Excellent experience.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

I went there thinking it would be faster than sitting in the ER.. Boy was I mistaken... I get there and tell the assistant that I filled out the form online. She tells me that they do not have access to it? Seemed a bit strange since it is their website..... I fill out the papers again and wait to be seen.

I was seen by Dr. Issa. He can barely walk, and is hunched over. I am 6ft. I had a dental abscess that was not responding to antibiotics my primary had prescribed. My doctors office was closed and and he is only there 3 days a week (he is a wonderful doctor I should have waited) I went because I felt it was moving further up my gum line and that it needed to be looked or drained.

Dr. Issa with out even doing an examination told me I needed to see an ear nose and throat doctor. I thought this was a bit strange since my own doctor and I came to the conclusion it was an abscess. So he looks in my mouth after telling him to do it, almost forcefully. He said that he would prescribe me ibuprofen and give me a shot of antibiotics. Here is the catch... It would cost me $30 dollars for the injection because my insurance does not cover it. WHAT??? I have LA Care through MEDI-CAL. I don't pay a cent for medications, nothing. I was told this was the place to go for my insurance. They told me my insurance only pays 70%. I am not employed at the moment, have no income and that why I am on medi-cal.

When I refused to pay, Dr. Issa looked at me as if I was stupid, and said "Well, I guess that is that." He was beyond rude and condescending.

I went to Memorial Hospital ER. In 1 and 1/2 hours I was seen in fast track, given my prescriptions different antibiotics and sent on my way. All at NO COST TO ME.

I would not recommend anyone going here, this doctor is a nightmare. I filed a complaint with my insurance company and the board of medicine!
