Established in 1946 as Briody Nursing Home, Briody Health Care Facility offers rehabilitation and health services. It consists of solarium, dining rooms, common areas, gift shop and courtyards. It employs more than 150 people that include physicians, registered and practical nurses, social workers, activity leaders, therapists and a registered dietician. The facility operates through various departments, such as dietary, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, social work activities, physical therapy and occupational therapy. Its rehabilitation center offers a 4000-square-foot facility that is equipped with bicycles, treadmills, nautilus unit, pulley systems, weight lifting equipment and ultrasound therapy balls. Its services include therapies, wound care, pain management, physical modality treatments, exercise program, and patient and family education. Located in Lockport, N.Y., Briody Health Care Facility also consists of independent living for senior adults.
