WE have gone to Bud Robison for about a decade now. He is an exceptional vet. His skill, knowledge and expertise are what we look for as a bulldog owner. We have been to many vets, and he is the best around with the best prices. We don't go to the vet for a friend we go for the best possible care and knowledge. Though over the years he has become a great mentor for us.

Okay, first of all let me tell you that if your phone directs you to the yellow pages reviews here on this site then don't be alarmed. There are 4-5 star reviews on all the other websites such as Yelp and Google.

I almost didn't keep searching to find it. We are new to the area here and I had three personal recommendations for Dr. Bud. They had nothing but good things to say and were shocked to hear there were negative reviews on this site.

My experience with Dr. Bud is nothing but outstanding. He is a very kind man and he had a full schedule yet STILL fit us in for a surgery for our dog THAT day.

To top it off, he also saw our dog in Easter! What vet cares enough to do that for your animal? None where I come from! I am truly amazed and feel blessed to have found such a wonderful vet and vet staff. We are truly grateful to him for fitting us into his full schedule. This will be our lifelong vet!! I definitely recommend him to everyone who wants the best for their animals.

I have never been treated with such disrespect, or had my dogs treated so poorly. Dr. Robison is an arrogant, abusive man. I found a vet that I truly trust and respect, Dr. David Kurbo on Hwy 59 S. He takes plenty of time with my pets and treats me with respect, his staff is very kind and gentle, most left Robison to come work with Dr. Kurbo. I recommend him to all my family and friends, and they are very happy to leave Robison. Do yourself and your pets a favor and never go back to Robison, he has just "gotten too big for his britches". You will be treated warmly, almost like family, and you can trust his word. I had to select a star rating just to submit this post, but, he doesn't deserve even one star!!

Walking in the customer service was good. Although the vet tec that took me back was less than pleasant. I will admit I am not the top of the line client that spends hundreds of thousands on my pets and prefer to vaccinate and worm my animals on my own. I own a ranch; its just what we have always done. That being said when the vet came in I felt like the kid being scolded for not doing everything to their satisfaction. I had felt like everything that I had done for my pets was a waste of my time and completely worthless. Really the doctor made me feel like an idiot and I hardly said anything I honestly gave them my pets information and I felt like I was the person to be looked down on because I do a lot of their preventive care on my own. I had come in to get a cosmetic procedure on my dog that I have always wanted to do. Going in I felt great and excited. Coming out I was extremely upset and deflated. I was told by the receptionist on the phone that the earliest an ear crop can be done is 9 weeks. Vet shook his head when I told him that and said that is not always true. That he should have had them DONE at 9 weeks instead now he had to wait another week which wouldn't be good. Also I specifically inquired about the fees for a consult when I called to schedule the appointment, I had asked if the appointment I was being scheduled for was included in the procedure fee. The receptionist had put me on a brief hold, came back on the line and said that I would not be charged the visit. When I went to leave out of the appointment however I was charged 30.00 for them to tell me that the shots I had administered myself were worthless (regardless of the fact that I had the vial stickers, receipts of date of purchase and the expiration dates of said shots) and that my 10 week old puppy needed heart worm prevention and a whole new round of shots. So I paid the "exam fee" that I had been told prior that I wasn't going to be charged for. When I confronted the receptionist about it she laughed/scoffed at me telling me that she would NEVER have said that but she was sorry for my confusion. I will not be going back and will not refer anyone here.

My parents took one of their babies in to be neutered, the price was different than the quoted price and my mom was told to watch for excessive licking, given pain meds and sent home. She took the puppy back after the weekend and told them that he wouldn't stop licking, they put cream on him and sent him home. She had to take him back 3 days later swollen and n pain because he wouldn't stop licking, she was finally offered a collar $4 and had to pay for another shot, an extra $50 to stop the infection that could have been prevented the first day. They should have given a collar as a preventative measure knowing that these types of dogs lick wounds. I called the office manager, Sarah, and told her my parents were very upset about the whole situation and she called them and made excuses, no remedy. And Dr. R had the nerve to tell my mom that the dog had done it to himself during the last visit. Well DUH! He never would have done it if you guys had taken care of him the first day..........collared him!! Sarah told me that the staff thought he was licking because he had fleas on him, sounded to me like she couldn't believe a dog could have fleas. Way to listen to the owner there. That poor puppy is at home 2 weeks later slow to heal and still in pain. Don't go to them unless you have no choice.

Doctor Bud Robison is a genuin...

Doctor Bud Robison is a genuine and caring Vet. He treats all of my animals. Recently I took my 29 yr old TB gelding in for complications with infection in one of his legs. Dr. Robison allowed me to have 24 hour acsess to my fella (he had to stay in the hospital paddock for 9 days). He encouraged me to visit as much as I wanted and also allowed me to watch his daily treatments if I took place while I was spending time with my fella. He had an answer for all my concerns as well as helped me to understand the healing process for a Senior Horse. I reccomend Livingston Animal Hospital to anyone wanting their animals to be treat like family.

Sincerely,

Crystal I Harris

My mother in law recently had ...

My mother in law recently had to have her 16 year old Australian Shepherd put down. The people at the Livingston Animal Hospital treated her and her beloved pet with outright disrespect and disdain. The arrogance and accusatory nature of W D Robison towards her is disgusting! For him to act towards her in the manner he did, especially under the horrible circumstances is unprofessional, unethical, and unforgivable! Especially for someone who is in a profession that calls for compassion not only for people but more importantly for animals, W D Robison is an abject failure. That he acted in such a manner towards my mother in law is bad enough, but she knows that he has done this to several of her friends I suspect because they are older and in distress and not in a position to be able to defend themselves against his attacks. That type of predation is deplorable and should not be tolerated by pet owners, or anyone. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE STATE VETERANARY BOARD REGARDING THIS TREATMENT OF PEOPLE AND ANIMALS, AND DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO MAKE SURE AS MANY PEOPLE AS I CAN KNOW WHAT A LOATHESOME DISGUSTING EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING W D ROBISON IS.

Great Place!

We have been using Livingston Animal Hospital for a number of years now. We have a mini schnauzer, Heidi, and a hound dog, Marina. Both of them have had their vet check ups, vaccinations, etc. and we have boarded them many, many times. Both of our doggies are treated great and the staff and vet couldn't be kinder. They're always helpful and pleasant. If you want a great vet and staff that cares about your animals, don't hesitate taking them to the Livingston Animal Hospital.
