Black Images African Hair Braiding

Now first I'm all about helping my kind and I don't generally write reviews but this was my WORST experience thus far. Ok 1st I called the # and spoke with a lady told her that I wanted kinky twist and she quoted me a price and we set an appointment for 9:00 am. So I arrive at my scheduled time and and the lady got started. Ok later some people came in the shop selling those "knock off" fragrances, so the girl wanted to purchase some so she asked can I pay her now, ok no problem so I gave her the quoted price as discussed on the phone with a lady who said her name was Rosemary then the girl was like no you owe me $20.00 more keep in mind she has already started on my hair. I was not prepared to pay $ when I was told $ she said it was because I wanted a few streaks (blonde twist) and she had to open another bag of hair....... Where they do that at? LOL! So I felt like I was being bamboozled, for lack of better terms. So I was like no mam! So after a discussion that involved me ready to vacate the premises she said the lady on the phone that I spoke with lives in Chicago but she takes the calls....... O.....K

ANYWAY...... The lady was using Jam in my hair and ran out of the product and asked ME to buy more..... once again..... Where they do that at? Now I have half my head twist and the other not she also wanted ME to go get it....... Meaning get in my car go to the store and buy it with my money...... I'm frustrated, irritated and fed up at this point so I ask ARE YOU SERIOUS? She was like yes you can wear a hat so I expressed my feelings and how unprofessional that was so a gentleman that was there with her volunteered to go but then she act as if she didn't need it anymore...... What was that all about?

There was more acts of unprofessionalism but I'm typing from my iPhone and don't have the time to type and explain it all.

Overall this was my worst experience at s braid shop EVER!!! And I've been wearing braids since back in the day ( box braids in the bob days) so I have been around the block a dozen times. If you want professionalism and a good job....... I DO NOT recommend Black Images on University......... Pure RACHETT!!!!!!!

THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE!!!!! Today was the 2nd time I went and the first time was wonderful but today was horrific. My appt was for 8a and they didn't show up until 8:20a. There were 6 people waiting at the door and only 3 workers showed up. The one working on my head left not once but twice. The first time for almost 45 minutes and the 2nd time for 30 minutes. I was only getting my dreads locked which takes about 2 - 3 hours. I got there at 8:00a and didn't get out until 3:00p I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!!!

This place is the worst place I have ever been to!! My daughter came in at 9 in the morning (was one of two people in the shop) to get twist braids and did not leave until 830 that night. The workers were very rude and spent most of the time watching television. When I asked how long it would take after being there for 6 hours the person braiding said she didn't know. I also had to buy jam as the person braiding my daughter's ran out. I will never return to this shop!!

I would never in life recommend this place to anyone. The manager, Rosemary, is one of the rudest people in life that I have ever come across. She initially makes you feel as though you will receive outstanding customer service, but as soon as another client comes in she tries to service you and them at the sametime. She is very money hungry and doesnt want any money to walk out of the door even if she has to place some else at an inconvienence. She questions your ability to pay and tries to loud talk you when you question her business practice. She constantly talks to her peers with not as much asking how are you. The customer service is horrible and I will never go there angain and will try to stop anyone else from going. I walked out on her while she was in the middle of my head and did not pay due to rudeness, and went down the street to Matou African Hair Braiding and the service was exceptional and I am very pleased with their work. They had to correct the work of Rosemary due to uneven braids as far as length and width. DO NOT GO TO ROSEMARY OR ANYONE ELSE IN BLACK IMAGES, and nothing is 180 she tried to charge me $220!!!!!!!

They stay on the phone, eat while doing your hair bad attitude and lack respect for the clients. I wouldn't advise no one to come here at all. They are very slow, my appointment was at 7 well I didn't get seen til nine. They do anything to get a quick buck! Horrible horrible horrible!!!
