Village of Lincolnshire in Illinois is governed by a village manager appointed by the mayor with the approval of board of trustees. The village government owns Channel 10 cable channel that is used for information screens and emergency information. The building division of the community development department is responsible for the enforcement of codes concerning construction alterations, additions, repair, removal, demolition, occupancy and maintenance of buildings and structures within the village. The village government also publishes a monthly newsletter containing governmental news, information about village board actions, upcoming agenda items, crime prevention information and other events of interest to residents. Each month the newsletter includes an insert from the park board highlighting upcoming events, recreational programs, as well as news from other community organizations.
