What does it take to maintain healthy, beautiful teeth and a flawless smile? At the dental practice of Dr. Craig Fievet, we know what it takes to keep your smile looking great! Our practice provides exceptional preventive and restorative dental treatments, always in a professional, honest, and friendly manner. Dental care is a personal choice, and we not only respect your decision to take an active role in maintaining good oral health, but we also respect your time and your individual needs. Dr. Fievet and his staff treat patients like family â?? we want you to be comfortable and confident with the care you receive. Dr.
The American Dental Association® recommends that most people have a cleaning and checkup at least twice a year. At each of these preventive care visits, you will receive a thorough cleaning and oral exam. During the oral exam, Dr. Fievet will check the health of your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks, and tongue. He will also check old fillings and restorations because constant pressure from chewing, grinding, or clenching can cause them to wear away, chip, or crack.
X-rays
A dental exam and cleaning two times per year. Dental bite-wing x-rays once per year. A full mouth or panoramic dental x-ray once every five years.
Dr. Craig Fievet and Our Team welcome new patients to our Lilburn, GA dental office. Your first preventive visit to our practice will include a dental cleaning, complete examination and necessary digital xrays. We will review your medical history and any medications you are currently taking.
Fluoride Treatment
Your child should visit the dentist every 6 months for regular dental cleanings and checkups. We recommend fluoride treatments twice a year along with cleanings to keep teeth their strongest. Tooth sealants are also recommended because they "seal" the deep grooves in your child's teeth, preventing decay from forming in these hard-to-reach areas. Sealants last for several years, but will be monitored at your regular checkups.
Dental Sealants
Sometimes brushing is not enough. Everyone has hard-to-reach spots in their mouth, and brushing doesn't always fully clean those difficult places. When that happens, you are at risk of tooth decay. Using sealants on your teeth gives you an extra line of defense against tooth decay.
Tooth bonding can also be used for teeth fillings instead of amalgam fillings. Many patients prefer bonding fillings because the white color is much less noticeable than the silver amalgam fillings. Bonding fillings can be used on front and back teeth depending on the location and extent of tooth decay.
Resin Composite
Newer dental fillings include ceramic and plastic compounds that mimic the appearance of natural teeth. These compounds, often called composite resins, are usually used on the front teeth where a natural appearance is important. They can be used on the back teeth as well depending on the location and extent of the tooth decay. Composite resins are usually more costly than the older silver amalgam fillings.
Veneers
Are your teeth chipped or stained? Would you like to improve your smile permanently, without any painful processes? We are pleased to offer Lumineers® as an alternative to traditional porcelain veneers.
Crowns
Crowns are a cosmetic restoration used to improve your tooth's shape or to strengthen a tooth. Crowns are most often used for teeth that are broken or worn, or have portions destroyed by tooth decay.
Bridges
Bridges are used to replace missing teeth, help maintain the shape of your face, and alleviate stress in your bite. A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been.
Dental Bonding
Bonding is a conservative way to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth. During dental bonding, a white filling is placed onto your tooth to improve its appearance. The filling "bonds" with your teeth, and because it comes in a variety of tooth-colored shades it closely matches the appearance of your natural teeth.
Restorative Dentistry
With dentistry's many advances in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, you no longer have to settle for stained, chipped, misshapen or missing teeth. Along with regular oral care and checkups, there are many options to keep you smiling with confidence.
In the past, if you had a tooth with a diseased nerve, you'd probably lose that tooth. Today, with a special dental procedure called root canal treatment, you may save that tooth.
We want to preserve and restore your natural teeth whenever possible. All other replacement alternatives will be considered prior to recommending dentures. When dentures are the recommended treatment, we work closely with our patients to design a cosmetically-pleasing, comfortable and durable denture.
Implants are a great way to replace your missing teeth. A dental implant is a new tooth made of steel and porcelain that looks just like your natural tooth.
Invisalign® Clear Orthodontics gradually moves your teeth through a series of custom-made, removable, nearly-invisible aligners. With each new aligner, different pressure is applied to achieve calculated movement.
Invisalign Orthodontics
With Invisalign® it's possible to close a small space between teeth, move a tooth slightly, or straighten all the teeth to improve your smile -- without brackets and wires.
Braces
Invisalign® appliances are removable for brushing and flossing, where traditional braces are not, which can help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
