I rate this a meh. I got a car at a good price but that’s about it. My salesman seemed like he rather be somewhere else. No enthusiasm. Showed me the car I called about and that’s it. It was late when I bought it so he said that he can fill the gas up and detail it since it wasn’t clean. He was supposed to get my car detailed when I came back (with my deposit that was over HALF of what the car was worth) and he was no where to be seen. I did text him earlier that day so he’ll know what time to expect me. So no gas fill up, no detailing and I really just wanted the sticker off but nope. Not that either. When I went back I wasn’t even asked if I liked the car or thanks for coming and buying a car.. Nothing. So it’s the middle of the road. Good price and kinda what I wanted with lackluster service.

For about four years I took my car to them because my car's mechanic is in another state. From the first time the mechanic tried to get more money out of fixes that we're under life time warranty. It was a GM known problem. I must say the service man was honest, he did what my mechanic told him and it is fixed. A couple of batteries, new tires, a generator, two struts later on a 2007 car with only 50,000 mile I go in for an engine filter and I'm told several places on my engine is leaking, the oil pan as well and according to where the pan is located it's going to be two day's of labor to remove my transmission so 2,300. Would be the cost. Keep, the lovely atmosphere, the coffee, cocoa and popcorn and to Ms. Tahoe the supposed good looking guys......robbery and dishonesty that happens to fall around tax time is ruthless, UNGODLY and unforgivable. After I had male friends and my out of state mechanic diagnosis the supposed leaks.....a read a review on here where the told another person my age the same leaking lie!
My neighbor kept politely warning me since the son took over, it wasn't the same. The sales department tried to beat him out of 5,000 dollars for a car he got at a nearby Chevrolet dealer. Naturally Herndon said they'd match that, but too why lie. Disappointed, hurt, angry and heart broken. But like the other lady said, they may have cheated me plenty and lied.....but the jokes on them because they won't ever get another dime from her, me and all the folks we know. When folks like my realtor are good I send folks to them....... In this case of pure divine robbery......WHAT WOULD YOU TELL FOLKS? And when I shared my story.....guess what folks tell of how they got ripped off. So.........

They were great! Gave me a better trade in than I thought I could get and got my payments lower than I anticipated. Best thing was how fast they worked and how easy they made the buying process.

I want to start off by saying ...

I want to start off by saying I have been to MANY Service Departments in Columbia and Lexington area but Herndon's Service Dept is off the CHARTS with Friendliness, Knowledge of my vehicle and most importantly CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!!! I brought my 2011 Tahoe to them with an on going issue(NO OTHER DEALER SERVICE DEPT COULD FIX) without an appointment. I was first greeted by a friendly young man named Bucky that got my information. He did not make me feel bad or put me off because I did not have an appointment(unlike other dealerships around here). I told him I would be waiting since I had no other means of transportation. He did let me know it could be up to 20 mins before they could get my Tahoe in the shop. Well 10 mins later, Herndon's Service Manager Rich Koellner(btw ladies he is a very ATTRACTIVE MAN) came to me to discuss the issues of my Tahoe. I was like "WOW they actually know whats wrong and how to fix it?" Mr. Koellner told me exactly what it was going to take to fix it and it was covered under warranty but the part was not in stock nor was it any where close to South Carolina. He stated it would take 2 days to get but I needed to leave my Tahoe at Herndon because he felt it may cause other issues with my Tahoe. Well I do not have rental coverage or another vehicle I could drive or use. Mr Koellner told me no worries that he would get me a rental vehicle at no extra charge, that he would stand for the bill. OMG!! REALLY?!!! Not only was this man Professional & Knowledgable(not to mention VERY EASY TO LOOK AT) but he understood my problems and helped me with them. I got my Tahoe back 2 days later, they even washed it!! As soon as I got there they greeted me by name and went over item by item on my invoice and explained it to me where I would understand it!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HERNDON CHEVY SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ALL YOUR VEHICLE NEEDS!!! IT IS ABOUT TIME COLUMBIA AND LEXINGTON AREA GOT A SERVICE DEPARTMENT WITH GOOD KNOWLEDGABLE (AND GOOD LOOKING) PEOPLE THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!! Herndon Service will always do all of my vehicle service needs!!!!!
