Deb was very helpful. She checked the availability of the items we were interested in. She was very informative on how Burke differs from other furniture stores in the area. The quality of Burke is definitely evident. All the pieces are thick, strongly built, and of the best quality. We will definitely be repeat customers!

After three trips to Burke Furniture to decide on office furniture, my wife and I had decided to make a purchase today. After making a decision we went to the desk area to write the ticket. The lady helping us today first wrote our address down incorrectly, then calculated the bill incorrectly and added 2 cents to the bill, and finally as we were making a final decision as whether to buy the $4000 piece or the $1700 piece she said she needed to go find some cloth for someone. We made our decision and waited for about 10 minutes for her to return. Then I asked another sales associate if they would help us make payment. We asked if it was better for the store to pay in cash or credit. He indicated either was fine. He then asked if we wanted to pay half now and half upon delivery. We had already decided to pay in full, but he was unaware of this. The original lady helping us with the sale ran up and cancelled the payment on the machine, snatched the sale ticket from the mans hand and wrote in large letters void on the ticket. Then she threw my credit card down at me on the table and told us David Burke said we had to pay in full. She then told the other worker there that we would try to use everyone there to get a lower price. We never asked to pay in any other amount than the total, nor did we even ask for a lower price. We were very embarrassed in front of the other customers who were present in the area. Customer service should be a top priority when people are spending thousands of dollars. Burke furniture failed today at this.

Paul is my go to person. They always have or can get what I want. No other place for me but Burke’s and Paul’s helpfulness and ideas.

I DO NOT recommend this store.

I have to agree with the last reviewer. And I believe it was probably the owner since his last name is Burke. I recently bought an expensive sofa from them, yet was treated quite rudely by Mr. Burke when I called with a request to return it. I heard a lot about how it's my problem that the sofa didn't fit the room I bought it for and that it's just too bad for me that I have to eat the price (my interpretation, not his words). Although, I didn't like the answer, it was really his attitude that ticked me off. He was patronizing, rude, and had the attitude of how dare I even ask for his store to have good customer service. I wasn't rude, yet was treated rudely. My take on this store is you will not get treated respectfully if you have any problems with the merchandise you order. I only give it 2 stars because I liked my sales person. Lisa was very nice and tried to be helpful.

Went in and talked with Willa on Monday. Ordered a table and had it set up for delivery on Saturday with a standard two-hour delivery period. Table arrived at early end of the delivery range and was in excellent condition when it arrived. Now I have space to put things I desperately needed! I loved looking at all the furniture in the store, although overall selection was just a little bit less than I expected. The store itself is two floors and is a very large building. Service was polite, friendly, and amiable. Will return.

My husband and I bought a sectional and our bedroom suit at Burke's. We felt like we got exactly what we wanted, and for a fair price. My family has shopped at Burke's for a long time, which is why we tried it, but we will go back for our next furniture because they took good care of us.

We went into Burke Furniture on Sunday, June 29 around 3pm in search of a living room chair. We had researched some chairs online that said they were in the store. Once we were in the store, we had the WORST service. The associate, Fairley (sp?), was very rude. He acted like we were bothering him because we were in the store. He didn't seem to know what products they had. I would never return to this store!

I will NEVER be back in this store again. The other reviewers are correct; If you don't have any issues your are OK, however, if you have problems with your furniture and have to deal with Louis Burke you can count on getting shafted and treated rudely at the same time! There are too many furniture stores in this town who stand behind what they sell to deal with a shady business establsihment selling second rate furniture that wouldn't make good factory seconds. Buyer BEWARE!!!

Within two weeks of delivery o...

Within two weeks of delivery of a very pricey recliner, the chair was falling apart and unsafe to sit in. A second recliner was on back-order, so we called to cancel that chair and return the other. Our salesperson was unhelpful and informed us they would not take to broken recliner back and we must accept the one on order when it came in. At this point, we did not want either chair and only wanted our money back. We were then put in touch with Mr. Burke who also informed us he would not accept the defective chair back. After much discussing back and forth, they did agree to keep the second chair we ordered and refund the deposit for that chair. We are waiting to see if that happens.

A Lexington Treasure

Burke Furniture offers a great selection of interior styles and collections. Their sales staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Every experience I have had with the employees has been positive, and I love all the pieces I have bought there, so I guess my perspective is pretty different than the other reviewers. I will continue to shop Burke's for my home.
