Glass N Pane

We had Glass N Pane come out to give us a quote on installing some indoor glass windows in our new home. Eric (the owner) came by and wrote us a quote for the work and told us he could get it done pretty quickly. He asked for half $ down deposit so he could order materials and get the job done ASAP. We wrote him a check, he cashed the check ($1,005.00), then has never come out to do the work. This was back in February. The first few times, he said he would have to reschedule: gave many different reasons such as lost cell phone, sick mother, fell off a ladder, etc). We finally asked for our money back as so much time had passed and we needed the work to be done. He ensured us he would mail us a check for the deposit. All of this is in writing (text message). Weeks go by and no check was mailed, numerous follow ups and promises to send us the back our money. Here we are today and he is no longer answering our texts or phone calls. He told us he didn't have the money anymore and wouldn't have it until he completed more jobs. So basically, he came into our home, stole over a thousand dollars from us, and that was it. We are filing police reports, etc. After looking at the BBB site, we see this isn't a one-time thing. The company's accreditation with the BBB has been revoked for similar complaints, and they currently have an F rating. All we want is our money back at this point. We got no materials, and no work was done. Stay away from this company!
