Although they have been at their new location for quite some time now, I remember my mother introducing me to this great restaurant back in 2005. Fred and Dianne McDonald are still as friendly as ever and at least one of them will always come to your table to ask you if your meal is to your liking and personally thank you for coming in. Wes is also there to get you anything you need and serve your fresh food with a fun and friendly attitude.



Now...about the menu items. How good is it, you ask? Just as they say, Reeal Good! Everything is seasoned to perfection. No bland items here! I was never really a collard greens person until I tried Dianne's personal recipe. My God, they are literally the best greens I've ever had! Their barbecue is slow smoked and truly does not need any sauce, although it is equally as good and is there if you need it. Mac and cheese, cole slaw, green beans, pulled pork, stewed okra, baked beans, potato salad, corn on the cob, sweet potato pie, peach cobbler, bread pudding...the list goes on. I was surprised to see home made tamales being served here. When I asked Wes how good they were he replied, The Best! LOL And he was not kidding in the least.



Folks, this is comfort food that is good for the soul as well as your belly. You will NOT leave hungry after dining at Dats Good Que! Keep it up you guys! You all have a customer for life!

I have eaten barbecue at many restaurants, to include in Kansas City, Mousouri and Memphis, Tennessee. I walked into Dats Good BBQ not quite knowing what to expect. What I found out was that the smiles that I saw on everyone's faces was a result of the superior service and attitude of each individual whom I came into contact. I applaud the management staff and the employees for making me feel like I was eating in my moms kitchen back in South Carolina. I am saving the best for last. The food was so delicious and so well prepared, that it caused me to reminise the days at my grandmother's table. I have never before eaten at a barbeque restaurant where the food and the service were both superior. I then decided to use the rest room and check out the outside of the building and was just as pleased with what I witnessed. I saw employees washing their hands and using gloves and a restaurant that is being managed with the health and welfare of its customers as a focal point of their business. I have recommended Dats Good BBQ to everyone that I come into contact with. When we have guest come in from out of town, I am always anxious to take them to Dats Good BBQ. I recently visited Dats Good BBQ on a Saturday and was overjoyed to find a live band and a whole lot of happy people outside enjoying some good old food and entertainment. My wife and I are now loyal patrons.
