        Jim McElveen and his late wife Hilda have owned Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory for over 33 years. Jim brings a wealth of funeral home knowledge and service with him and has been in the funeral business for over 56 years. In the current years, Jim's, son Tony also brings a lot of support and care for the community. He, along side his father, uphold the meaning of the word professionalism and service. Caring for each family is their number one priority. Being Lenoir's only locally owned and operated funeral home allows for each family to receive the highest standards in their facilities, their directors, and the services they provide. Our family caring for your family is our top focus. The original funeral home began in uptown Lenoir in 1927 and moved to their current beautiful location in 1972.
