Dietrich's Meats & Country Store

I used to prefer Peters Bros. Meats in nearby Lenhartsville, PA, but now favor Dietrich's. Their store made summer sausage and Lebanon bologna are LEAN, also so are other smoked meat sausages they make. They also make their own homemade frankfurters in several varieties, and classic whitish bratwurst, which is just great. Prices are steep, but quality is topnotch. They also have topnotch baked goods, such as shoo-fly and lemon sponge pie, and seedless non-caraway flavored rye bread, which is also great. They are just off I-78 about 20 miles east of Allentown, PA, and are definitely worth the travel delay. Don't worry, you won't get lost from I-78.
