Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are reddish brown in color and are wingless. Roughly oval in shape and become swollen after feeding on blood. Bed bugs are (thin), and this means that they can hide in narrow cracks and crevices They are fast runners. Size: Approximately 3/16 inch long
Fleas
Redish – Brown in color. They are parasites that feed off of blood, both human and animal, by piercing the skin from the outside and sucking blood. Fleas are wingless, dark colored bugs that range in size from 1/16 to 1/8 inch. Because they do not have wings, fleas travel from hosts by hopping. They can hop up to 7 inches in the air.
Cockroaches
There are nearly 70 different cockroach species found in the United States. Some species invade human dwellings and are considered pests. Roaches vary in color from a brown to black.
Silverfish
Silverfish are wingless teardrop-shaped insects that are generally soft bodied. They are flattened from top to bottom, elongated and oval in shape, have three long tail-like projections at the end of the abdomen, and two long antennae. Silverfish measure 1/2 to 3/4 inches in length. They are white to brown-grey or bluish-silver in color with a metallic shine because their bodies are covered with fine scales. Silverfish are nocturnal and move very quickly. Silverfish also reproduce quickly.

Wasps
Only females have the ability to sting. Although some species of wasps may be very bothersome to people, majority of the species are solitary and non-stinging. Additionally, wasps are extremely important in the control of other pest insects because almost all pests are the food source for at least one species of wasp. Without the presence of wasps, this natural insect control would not be possible.
Ticks
Size: Adult ticks range in size from 1/8 inch to 5/8 inch in length. Ticks are parasitic insects that survive by taking blood from mammals, birds and reptiles. Ticks are pests that many pet owners are familiar with because they are the most common pests of domesticated dogs in the southern U.S. It is also common for ticks to attach and feed off of to humans. In addition to being uncomfortable and irritating, tick bites can carry a variety of diseases, including Lime Disease and must be treated correctly and monitored closely.
Crickets
Crickets are an occasional home invader and common in the landscape. These small, jumping insects are members of several different species, but the most commonly encountered are field crickets (Gryllus species) and house crickets (Acheta domesticus). House crickets have been living side by side with humans for generations. Mole Crickets often damage our lawns by eating the roots or tunneling the soil away from the roots of the grasses. Mole Crickets are drawn to light coming from our homes.
Earwigs
With over 2,000 different species, it can be hard to tell one species from another. You can recognize earwigs by their forceps pincers which are connected to the earwig’s abdomen. Earwig’s pincers look very intimidating, although they don’t cause physical harm to us. Earwigs use their pincers to catch and eat other bugs, making them quite beneficial.
Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes are common pests that are found in many areas of the world. There are over 3,000 different species throughout the world with 176 of these species found in the United States. Mosquitoes range in size but do not usually grow to be longer than.6 in. They have thin bodies made up of three sections and they have two wings. One female mosquito can lay up to 200 eggs at a time.
Flies
Flies are a significant problem because they can live in diverse conditions and carry diseases into homes. Insect order Diptera, which means to “two wings”

Grubs are the small pale white larvae of beetles that develop in the ground, attacking the roots of plants. Thriving mostly in the spring and fall, when adult beetles lay their eggs and the immature grubs are first born.
Scorpions

Mites
Spider mites are pests that can normally be found on common household plants. They like indoor plants and outdoor plants. Just like their name implies, they are a type of arachnid or spider. They are extremely small and can often be difficult to see with the human eye. Some reports state they are as small as a grain of pepper. Even though they are tiny, the spider mite can become a huge problem.
Aphids
Aphids are soft-bodied insects that use their piercing sucking mouth-parts to feed on plant sap. They usually occur in colonies on the undersides of tender terminal growth. Heavily-infested leaves can wilt or turn yellow because of excessive sap removal. While the plant may look bad, aphid feeding generally will not seriously harm healthy, established trees and shrubs.
Gnats
Mealybug females feed on plant sap, normally in roots or other crevices, and in a few cases the bottoms of stored fruit. They attach themselves to the plant and secrete a powdery wax layer (hence the name mealy bug) used for protection while they suck the plant juices. The males on the other hand are short-lived as they do not feed at all as adults and only live to fertilize the females. Male citrus mealy bugs fly to the females and resemble fluffy gnats.
Slugs
Slug and snail damage doesn’t stop with foliage and tender stems. These pests feed on succulent fruits, such as strawberries and tomatoes, and even citrus. They tend to avoid plants that have rough, aromatic leaves, such as rosemary. Unencumbered by shells, slugs also spend time underground in search of moisture. They threaten root crops, newly planted seeds and bulbs..
Snails
Slugs and snails plague gardeners worldwide. Just when long-awaited leaves and tender edibles spring forth, these night-roving pests sneak in. Damaged seedlings, hole-riddled plants and slimy trails of telltale mucus are sure signs that slugs or snails have been in your lawn and garden. By understanding what you’re up against, you can protect your plants from these destructive pest.

Mole crickets tunnel through the soil, often close to the soil surface, severing grass roots and causing the earth to bulge upwards. They also eat the roots and shoots of plants where they are tunneling, most commonly grasses. Mole cricket tunneling and feeding damage looks like ugly brown patches of dying or dead grass, which are typically replaced by weeds. Predators such as raccoons, armadillos, and birds may further dig up the turf to snack on the crickets, which creates even more of a mess.

Mice
