Waroot Shay Nimjareansuk, DO, is an assistant professor with the department of orthopaedics at the University of Florida College of Medicine.Dr. Nimjareansuk earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry with a specialization in biochemistry from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He then graduated with his doctor of osteopathy degree with honors from the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After Dr. Nimjareansuk pursued his residency in emergency medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, he completed his fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Manhasset, New York.During his time in New York, Dr. Nimjareansuk served as a physician for high school and college sports, and even the New York Islanders, a professional hockey team. In addition to working with a variety of sports across different age groups, he is a published researcher who is a member of various organization, like the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the Florida American Academy of Emergency Medicine.Dr. Nimjareansuk is board-certified in both emergency medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He specializes in orthopaedics and rehabilitation, with a subspecialty in orthopaedics sports medicine.
