I guess we got too used to Louise at the Rusty Duck and the most extensive menu she provided at a very reasonable price. We found the menu to be quite pricey, my husband had to send his steak back as it was not cooked the way he asked for it and it was quite fatty; there was more junky meat left on his plate than what he was able to eat. There's a $20 corking charge if you bring your own wine which I thought was exorbitant, but then again they would probably prefer that you bought their wine. I have to say that the service was very good, but we won't be back. Would much rather go to Vintage on Fifth where the service and food is always good and the acoustics allow you to hear yourself speak. Was really hoping this place would be better; $29 for a junky rib eye steak and fries to me is a tad expensive. Not needing reservations should have been a clue. Still hope they improve; the people are nice.

I went to catch 22 for the first time Wednesday evening. I had a friend visiting from Miami,.so I decided to try this new restaurant. I made a reservation and I'm glad I did. Unfortunately, I had never been to The Rusty Duck, which was in this location. There are only about 10 -12 tables in this little restaurant. The 2 chefs are well-known in Fl. The food and the service were really top-notch; really delicious. My macadamia encrusted Mahi with creamy shrimp risotto remained hot, not warm, 20 mins after I begun eating! My friends Grouper was even better! We had the lobster n scallop (?) stuffed ravioli in mango sauce as an appetizer. Micro greens on most everything and rhey grow some of the herbs used out front! The only thing I would suggest is to maybe paint inside a warm color and turn down the lighting slightly, to make it a little more cosy. Nice artwork and the old "Rusty Duck" sign, a nice tip of the hat. The outside is definitely more inviting than before, which was always a deterent for me; which I regret.
We shared a bottle of moscato. Neither of us like dry wine and I know it's sweet but you drink what you like. We didn't have dessert. Great service from Stephanie as well. The only thing I didn't appreciate was her pouring for only my guy friend, to taste test, prior to serving us. I found that kinda off putting but over all, great service and great food. Main courses run in the high 20 range, appetizers vary ~8-13$. Wine by the glass 6-8 aver. Bottles $ 28-32?? Not sure about total bill, but that gives u an idea. Forgot to take pics, sorry :* Better than 5th and Vine, imho.
Tues for lunch time, they close to offer drive up bbq meals to go from the smoker! 11:30-2:30, I think. If u call, they'll save u a meal to go from it, that u can pick up after wk, for dinner instead :)

Extremely noisy! It was not that crowded, but the noise just reverberated around the room. Could hardly hear the waitress and could not have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. The prices were extremely high. They tried to fancy them up for that price with a garnish to justify the price, but the food did not come close to meeting expectations. A salad does not come with the meal and costs an additional $6 for a bowl of lettuce with some cheese sprinkled on top and dressing. I left feeling like I had just been robbed. I will not be back and do not recommend.

Had dinner last night. Started with a bottle of Malbac, light and easy to drink. Wife had house salad which was very tasty. Dressing on side. I had the Beet salad. Greens and sauce were very nice. Beets were room temperature Thought the beets would have been better if cooled slightly.
Wife had the grouper entree. Fish was very fresh tasting and flaky. I had the Mahi-Mahi which was also fresh. My feeling was that the chef was trying to be" safe". I felt he could have gone for more flavors, especially with the Mahi-Mahi. Overall meal was $130 dollars. We will give it another try in the near future.

What a great experience! The food was outstanding, very fresh and the Chef/Owner even came out to our table to meet us!!! The staff was very friendly, we felt like family. The menu is really amazing! Can't wait to return.
