Wow!! This is new gunshop that is just opening up in a couple of weeks (today is January 20, 2012). I stopped by to talk to the owner to ask him about what he was going to open. I have never in my life met anyone with as much knowledge about guns, ammo, tactics, and ballistics. And he's a really nice guy, too - gave me a Coke! This is going to be one great gun shop. He said that he wanted to open up a gun shop where people could come in and feel like they belonged there, so he put a 6 foot oak table up front so that people could bring in their lunch and relax on their lunch break. You can kick back and watch a good western movie or a good war movie on the flat screen... And you can have a free cup of coffee, as well... (The guy makes some darn good coffee!) He said that people shouldn't feel pressured into buying a gun, but should instead feel like the man behind the counter actually looking out for them and is helping them make the right choice. His idea is to make it not just a gun shop, but a gathering place... Kind of a nice place to get away to when the day's pressures and workload have gotten you down, you know?

He also said that people that know names like (I had to write these down so I could look them up later) Elmer Keith, Colonel Charles Askins, Bill Jordon, Skeeter Skelton (Skeeter?... Really?), and Jeff Cooper would really enjoy the place... He wouldn't tell me about them right then because he said he wanted me to read about them myself on the internet and then we would talk about them on my next visit. His inventory will be in by then so I'm looking forward to it. He is going to be carrying all sorts of guns, covering everything from cowboy guns up through the latest AR's and accessories. He has a REAL gunsmith that has quite a reputation in middle Tennessee for doing awesome work (a nice block of wood and a fine piece of steel = a beautiful gun with this gunsmith), and they can build you anything you want up to but not including a 40mm grenade launcher. (He _can_ do the transfers for those, though.) He is also going to teach classes there in his back classroom. They should be very good, since he owns another company that does law enforcement and military training for agencies and units all over the U.S. and some other places.

GO SEE MIKE AND NORTH CUMBERLAND GUNS!!! You won't be disappointed!

Awesome place very nice folks and offer lots of help not pressure to buy. cant wait till they get all there stuff in I know where all my extra money will go. its nice to have a shop were you feel like your are welcome and they care about helping you not just selling you something.

This is a great place! Being a female, it is hard to find a gun shop that you can walk into without the people telling you what you need. If you know what you want, Mike and Chris will help you find it and tell you all you need or want to know about it. If you have no idea what you want, they will tell you about things that they think will be best for you and your lifestyle.
Never had a problem they couldn't help me with. This place is so great, I just stop by to say hi and look around, even when I am broke.
Go by and meet the guys, you will love them! You will never walk out of there feeling like you have been talked down to or not helped. Awesome place!

Headed north on 231 entering " The Square " at your 6 o'clock position and exiting at your 12 just there, just on the right. Blink and ya might miss it. The Burger King is directly across the street on the left. So right there on the right is a gun shop " North Cumberland Guns and Ammo ". I walked in not expecting too terribly much and was greeted by a man with a smile. That alone brightened my day. He introduced himself as Mike and I said I too am a Mike... so we laughed. He asked what he could help me with and my reply was " I'm just looking around.... I didn't even know you were here!". He asked if I'd like some coffee or a water and I took the coffee. He has an antique Coffee maker that I must say makes one amazing cup of coffee. There were a few other people there so I just grabbed a chair and listened in to the conversation taking place. Felt right at home there.
Knowledgable in guns and smithing is an understatement when describing Mike. I'll say if he doesn't have it he can get it. Met his family.... Amazing people. There is just a sense of ease and relaxation there in his shop. Conversation flowed like the amazing coffee and it was just an absolute unexpected joy being there. Respectful and polite....always. He has a few different items for sale. Military ammo boxes galore, gun accessories, holsters, ammo, pistols, black powder guns, rifles, shotguns, knives, targets by the thousands and the list goes on. What a hidden gem of a place that really isn't hidden at all. You won't know a stranger there and again his knowledge is unrivaled. I would trust him with instructing my family as well. Male, female... No difference. He will guide you in the right direction. Just an all around good person. Thank you Mike for being such an amazing person. You will always have my business.

every time I go into this gun shop and am greeted with the utmost courtesy and respect. Mike is extremely knowledgeable with all types of guns and ammo. I have been in a lot of gun shops but this one has to be the best and friendliest store I have ever been in. Mike will help you with anything he can and will answer any questions. If he does not have the answer,which I doubt is possible, he will find out and let you know. He has also worked on a few of my rifles and pistols and did an excellent job. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a gunsmith.

This is an awesome gun shop. I really enjoy going there and they couldn't be more helpful! I have been in sales and customer service for a long time and I am very rarely impressed with businesses these days, but I truly was when I visited North Cumberland Guns and Ammo! Matt

Incredible store. I needed a bit of work doing on my trigger. I went in and spoke to Mike. Man, does this guy know his stuff. He is also the gunsmith that would actually be doing the work. Totally friendly, fun atmosphere and everyone in there seemed relaxed. This truly is a place where beginners and vets alike can go because it seems that everyone is welcome and there is NO such thing as a stupid question. An old time gun shop that will get my support from now on.

Wow I must say this is the best gun shop in Lebanon. I've been to all the others and there is no comparison in the quality of a person an there attitude. I first called and spoke with him on the phone and when I hung up I noticed we talked for about 30 min so I figured I would stop bye an check the place out. it was a great little shop and just getting started there shelves and racks will be stocked full in no time I can't wait to drop back in for my next chat on my long range gun that I will definantly be buying through him. thanks so much for your help,advice and friendship can't wait to do business with you!

North Cumberland Guns and Ammo is the best gun shop i have seen in middle tenn. The owner, Mike, really knows what he is talking about and is real friendly. They have good stuff in stock and are getting more and better stuff in. If you live near enough to Lebanon and love guns, then you need to check this store out!!!!
