Regency Apartments

First off I want to say, the girls in the front office are awesome. They have helped me several times out of nothing more than the kindness of their hearts. The apartments themselves are clean and well taken care of. The only issue I did have was immediately fixed and I haven't had any problems since. My neighbors are great people, very respectful and quiet. Overall, since I have to live in Lawton, there is no other place I'd want to live.

I moved out of the Regency around summertime 2008. During my stay there, the conditions were pretty tolerable (nice enough- but lots of bugs, dumpster divers, sewage problems, and unreliable internet). The maintenance man was very good about fixing the issues we had in a pretty prompt manner, but even for all his hard work the place was kind of a dump. The outside could use a new paint job (very outdated looking, and it seemed I needed to call the maintenance man much more often than one should normally expect. I just really couldn't take living there after the new management guy turned out to be a crook. WOW- stealing people's packages, taking money from the owner and tenants, and lord knows what else. I lived there for a while regardless of the level of safety I felt before this incident (referring to stories of people's cars getting stolen and broken into, strange people lurking around the complex, loud noise pretty much every weekend, often weeknights also), but after that thief manager, I just didn't even feel safe with the people in charge of the place. I mean, didn't the owner or ANYONE take the time to REALLY CHECK him out''' I found info just putting his name in the OK courthouse site. how easy... anyways I just thought after something like that , it was time to go. I'm not writing this just to be rude, I just think people should know what you are really getting into when you are looking for an affordable place to house yourself and/or family. The price may be good, but the maintenance guy's service is the only other worthwhile thing about it. I would continue my search for a home beyond Regency if I were to look now knowing what I know. People deserve honesty. Happy hunting.



OH YEAH- have to mention that the manager I was speaking of above was offering money off of tenants rent in exchange for writing a good review on this and possibly other websites! So what you are reading in other good reviews about Regency is likely a LIE! Trust me.. you don't want to get involved with this place.
