I think this salon is "ok". The customer is not great-- no "Hi" or "Hello." I wasn't asked what I wanted after I entered, just told to sit down at the shampoo station. I did not have to wait at all, however. I was going for a Keratin treatment but the stylist convinced that a relaxer was better for my hair. I had no problem with this since my hair is relaxed. There was a lot of pulling and tugging on my hair, but my hair was an absolute mess. I just took braids out YESTERDAY! The stylist was able to get my relaxer in in a nice time and shampooed me thoroughly. I got a deep conditioning. She rolled me and I only sat under the dryer for a little over an hour. She blew my hair out and flat ironed it. The heat from the blow dryer was hot and she got a little too close to my scalp but it helped to straighten my roots. I was pleased. It was a typical dominican salon experience-- smell of burned hair but no more than when I flat iron my hair, style wasn't cute but rather old fashioned. After I paid, I wasn't thanked, but I didn't care. She'd done what I needed her to do. Lol. If you're looking for a place that pampers and offers outstanding customer service, this isn't the place. No wow factors just dominican blow outs. Period.

Do not go here! First off, if ...

Do not go here! First off, if you try to go in the morning, you are going to wait at least an hour. The stylist never, ever show up on time. I went here for 2 years and not once was there a stylist there when the shop opened. There is a guy who opens the shop in the morning, but thats it - no stylist. I finally had enough and stopped going. The prices are never the same; they would go up every time I went. They pretty much charge you what they feel like, unless you're fortunate enough to have a coupon, which they send out once in a while. Terrible service. They do not value their customers' time or money. I only gave 1 star because that's the minimum - if 'no stars' was allowed, this place would get no stars from me. The 2 people who gave this place a great rating must work there....

I will never come here again!!

I have been going to this salon for about five years and everytime I went I left upset... I would never recommend going here at all. The service sucks, the 'stylists' barely speak English, so if you want something specific good luck. It's pretty much a very unprofessional salon. One time I came in right at open time, but no one was there... I waited an hour outside before they showed up and didn't even receive a sorry in return. Also on one occasion, one of the 'stylists' asked me if i could braid hair... AS IF IM GOING TO STAND UP AND START BRAIDING YOUR HAIR!! The last and final straw was the last time I went, my hair was mediocre and I was not impressed. I told the stylist I didn't want a trim so I thought we had an understanding but no... Moments later I heard some snipping, this lady was seriously cutting my hair! I was livid!! And on top of that it was uneven and choppy. I will never ever ever return to this salon ever! Extremely unprofessional and overpriced. The 'stylists' are also really inconsistent so it's really hard to build a relationship with anyone... Wondering if their even lisensed.

This is quite possibly the wor...

This is quite possibly the worst salon in the world. Not only is it disgustingly dirty, but the staff is nasty and they rip you off after they have already destroyed your hair by charging more than you were quoted when you came in. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST EMEMY!

NO NO NO. Please do not go to this salon! I am NOT tender headed, but oh my goodness they really burned my scalp! The customer service was HORRIBLE. I understand this is a dominican salon, but they did not even speak to me until I had to pay because I don't speak spanish. I am transitioning from relaxed hair to my natural hair and she tired to charge me EXTRA because she claimed my new growth was half of my hair (when I only have and inch and half of new growth.) Overall, they have attitudes and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST EMEMY!

EXCELLENT!!!

I have been a customer at this shop since they opened. The service here is excellent! I first started off with Lucy as my stylist and when she left, Fifa took over my styling needs. This shop and their stylists are excellent. As for the young lady who stated that she had to wait 3 hours before anyone started on her hair, this is totally untrue. I have never waited no more than 5 minutes to be seen. Everyone that work in this shop is always smiling and willing to assist in any way. I have NEVER seen anyone leaving out of the shop dissatisfied in any way. Marsiel, Fifa, Fifa's husband, and all the stylists are very friendly and professional. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else to get my hair styled by anyone else. I am so satisfied with Fifa.

PRICE TOO HIGH

I WAS NOT PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE OR PRICE. AFTER WAITING NEARLY 3 HOURS BEFORE I WAS EVEN CALLED, THEY ALSO OVER CHARGED ME.

FOR A TOUCH UP , DEEP CONDITIONING AND ENDS CLIP WHICH THEY CUT INSTEAD AND TRIED TO CHARGE ME FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T ASK FOR, MY BILL CAME TO 105.00. THAT IT RIDICULOUS. I HAVE NEVER PAID THAT MUCH IN ALL THE YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN GOING TO DOMINICAN SALONS EVEN IN NY!!

MASSIEL CHARGED ME 80.00 FOR THE TOUCH UP , 10.00 FOR THE CONDITIONING AND 15.00 FOR THE CUT WHICH I DIDN'T ASK FOR . I ASKED TO FOR ENDS TO BE CLIPPED ONLY . SO THEY TOOK 5.00 OFF FOR THAT.

WOW I SAVED A WHOLE 5.00 WHICH BROUGHT MY BILL TO 100.00

I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I MUST SAY MY HAIR TURNED OUT GREAT BUT IT WAS NOT WORTH 100.00.

AND THEY WERE NOT EVEN APOLOGETIC ABOUT HAVING ME WAIT SO LONG.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO GO THERE.

We appreciate all of our customers and their comments, we strive to deliver excellent service. Our wait time for a touchup has never exceeded 30 minutes, and our wait time for wash & sets is no more than 10 minutes. Our price has never changed since we have been in business, we have price lists ready available for all of our customers to take and read before services are performed. The services that the customer states that they received is $80. There must have been something else that she requested and did not want to pay.

I liked it and think I will go back!

I got my hair done by Massiel and I liked the end product. She suggested that the next time I come in to get deep conditioning. Also, she told me that me getting highlights messed up my hair. So, I appreciated her telling me the truth.
