My ear was impacted...shot 2 hits of cold water in my ear and told me to go home and use peroxide..was deaf in that ear for 4 days....cost of that trip...600 bucks and the nurse didn't even talk to me...and that was after being there for 2 hrs. You're better off making the drive to Maury Regional. They happen to have 24 hour medical care.

First let me tell you, I am not one for running to the emergency room unless I feel it's an emergency. I'm not impress with this hospital. The first time I took my son there 4 years ago ( 1:30 AM) for shortness of breath, he had a great Dr. who really took time with him and ran many test. Then about a year ago, I had to take my grand daughter to the emergency room, there again about 1:30 AM, for a nose bleed. So after heavy bleeding and over 20 min. I thought she should get checked out. Well it stopped bleeding about 1/2 way there, but still thought she should get checked out. The Dr. proceeded to tell me children will pick their noses causing the nose to bleed and how to stop them. Well she was sleeping when it started, that's what woke her up, and I know how to stop a nose bleed. I was a Paramedic in AZ for years. Just 2 Days ago, I took my son to the emergency room due to him having major congestion , I couldn't get an appointment with his primary. and due to the fact he is quadriplegic once the major congestion starts it go out of control quickly. Well once again, this was a useless trip, I was told it was allergies, to give him allergy pills and decongestions ( something I have already been doing. Well now he is on antibiotics due to an infection. Something that should have been noticed during the emergency room visit.
