Absolutely the WORST PLACE I have ever lived at and ever dealt with. We moved here as our first apartment as a married couple but we have both lived in rentals long before this place. My husband and I are STILL dealing with them a YEAR after our lease ended. We were great tenants, paid our rent on time every month, and left the place in the condition that it was for us. Which was pet hair EVERYWHERE, dust, cob webs and so on. Oak Park tried charging us $1600 in DAMAGES fees as if we TRASHED the place, in which we certainly did not. They also have HORRIBLE management and "maintenance" men. We had NUMEROUS problems with leaks, pipes bursting, garage broken and we were charged for those damages even though the "maintenance" supposedly fixed them but yet would take a few days to even COME OUT to look at the problem. I find this UNACCEPTABLE and APPALLING. I will NEVER let any of my friends, co workers, even RANDOM people live there. I make sure to tell everyone I know of our HORRIBLE situation because we are good people with a PERFECT rental record. But thanks to this awful debacle we had to go through the court system to get out fees knocked down for CHARGES we did not even accrue. I now have a panic attack condition thanks to this place and we are reviewing them every which way that we can. I still cannot believe we are STILL dealing with this a year after our lease ended. I cannot believe they are LEGALLY allowed to charge that when the Michigan State Law clearly states about cleaning charges. This place is honestly a JOKE. Do not, I REPEAT DO NOT LIVE HERE. Or you will be having to deal with the courts when your finished and it is not pretty.
