Growing up, my mom ran a daycare from our home and I loved helping out so much that I decided that I wanted to open my own daycare when I had the chance. As a teenager, I assisted with a toddlers group in my church. We would teach the children bible verses, work on weekly projects and supervise during snack and play time. I have always loved spending time with children and helping them learn and grow. The mission of Little Mitten Daycare is to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate at home environment for every child. My focus is to provide a stimulating early care and education experience which promotes each child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. My goal is to support children's desire to be life-long learners. At Little Mitten Daycare, children will have a daily schedule to practice routine and participate in various individual and group activities. Children will be encouraged to build friendships and play, and to also participate in learning activities to strengthen their growing minds. We will have activities that promote language, math, science, etc. I have a large, fenced in backyard where there is enough room to run around, play and learn about nature. Balanced, healthy meals and snacks will be provided through the Food Program, as well! I will provide breakfast, lunch, an AM snack and a PM snack.
