Massage Envy - Bowie Woodmore Towne Centre

I have been a "Much Too Long Term Customer." I've received a few good massages but most were average and below compared to skilled, experienced, independent massage therapists.

But the real issue with Massage Envy is with how they do business. My advice, as a Long Term Customer, regarding Massage Envy: "Don't Sign Up unless you don't mind them Massaging your Money right out of your bank account whether you use their services or not!"

Due to a medical crisis I was unable to get a massage EVERY monthly and had paid Massage Envy over $700.00. I spoke with a friendly manager in the Bowie location, who told me Massage Envy had a catch up policy and would waive my payments for 2 months to allow me to catch up. Wow! What a wonderful company, IF That Had Been True but she Lied ! While I rearranged as a busy life to try to catch up on missed massages, my bank account exposed her LIE, they continued to take out each month. When followed up, I was told, oh, yes the conversation and promise was remembered but did I sign the waiver form? Well, the manager never offered one or indicated there was one. So shame on me for believing this manager and just keep paying the monthly fee, even though I have NO CONTRACT. Well now, I'm only $419.93 in the hole but I've been given another chance to "Catch up" . You probably say well, " Long Term Customer" just quit...Well, whenever you quit, no matter how many unused massages you've collected (and PAID for) you still owe 1 monthly payment for 30 after you say you want to quit (in writing, of course).

Unless you have money to burn, be very sure you get a Massage at Massage Envy EVERY MONTH, no matter what! By whoever is available for when you can make an appointment because You Will Pay for Them in money or loss work/family time to CATCH UP.

And GET EVERYTHING in WRITING!

Great massage! I love their aromatherapy, too - never tried it before coming here, and now I can't think of having a massage without it. I love the therapists here - thanks!
