The Walking Company

I just drove an hour to get to the nearest The Walking Company and spent $100 on a pair of shoes. I get home after driving an hour only to find that the bottoms of my "new" shoes were covered in dirt and mud! I called the store and they offered no apologies for my inconvience, just said that i can drive back up there and return them but that was their last pair of shoes in my size. I called their corporate office and they asked me "why didnt you check the shoes before you left?" Really?? I didnt think I would have to check a "new" pair of shoes for dirt and mud!! Their corporate office also told me that I can return them at the store and they will give me a list of numbers nationwide to call to find the shoes I purchased in my sizes and i can order them. They did not offer to compensate me for my time or inconvience, but only offered me more of a hassel.
