Tienda El Manantial

As a vegan (I don't eat any animal derived foods) I was so happy to discover that the beans served here are NOT cooked on lard. Some other local Mexican restaurants include their beans on their vegetarian menu section but, in fact, those beans are prepared using lard. At Tienda I order the chalupa with no cheese and with sides of rice and beans. This dish is so 'clean' and refreshing tasting. The salsa is outstanding as is the attentive service.
