Jason's Woods

None better than the original. I've happened to notice an unfair balance between the reviews of Jason's Woods and their main competitor Field of Screams. If you'll scroll down to the bottom of the reviews and click on filtered reviews, you'll notice that all of the positive reviews of Jason's Woods have been filtered out. Now, if you go to Field of Screams page and scroll down to the bottom of the reviews and click on the filtered reviews, you'll notice that most of the negative reviews have been filtered out. I could understand if it was just a few good reviews and few bad reviews on each that were filtered out but all good and all bad seems a bit fishy.

Now, before this turns into some conspiracy theory themed review I'd like to give my own opinion on each. I can honestly tell you that I have never been to Field of Screams and haven't given a review on their page based on that fact alone. I've known many people who have gone and have heard good reviews and bad. I've been told that's nothing more than a bunch of volunteer high school kids screaming through masks and grabbing people with no originality and little change throughout the years. I've also been told that it's the best attraction in the area and then some. I couldn't tell you which one is more accurate because as I said I haven't been there.

As far as Jason's Woods goes I can give you an honest review because I have a few times over the years. Jason's Woods prides itself in the fact that it was one of the first in the business. I've found this fact has been both a benefit and a hindrance to it. A benefit in the way that it shows it's experience in the way that it handles it's customers and the overall operation of the attraction and also how innovative and original it can be with new ideas and attractions. As long as I've been going there has always been a new attraction or a new spin on an old one every year. This keeps it interesting for the customers which in turn keeps the return customers coming year after year. As far as the negative aspect of it sometimes it shows it's age in the older attractions and props. Some look a little weathered and some sit in disrepair.

Overall, Jason's Woods has it's good years and bad years but based on all the new stuff listed on their website for this year, and all the good experiences I've had with them in the past, I can definitely tell you I will be returning this year.



P.S. Normally I wouldn't give higher than 4 stars because there is always room for improvement but the other reviews were so unfairly negative and unbalanced that I couldn't help but give 5 just to try and balance it out.
