Vicke's Pet Supplies & Grooming

The place was filthy. Vicke came out to greet us with poop on her shirt. I had explained on the phone that my dog is uncomfortable having his nails clipped, but she approached him by yelling at him and smacking him right in front of me. Then she took him into the back where I'm not sure what happened, but it involved him crying quite a bit. My dog is 6 lbs. The place was full of very large, barking dogs who were roaming free, which further went to unsettle my little dog. All in all it was a terrible experience which I'm sure reinforced my dog's fear of having his nails clipped.

Brought my GSD to Vicke's for the 2nd time and she conveniently "lost" my card where she recorded how much she charged the first time. She charged me almost $20 *more* than the first time and didn't even cut her nails or clean her ears, let alone remove the abundance of hair! I also brought my cat for the first time and she charged me $35 to simply wash him, again, she didn't have to cut his nails (capped), he wasn't dried or brushed. When I got them home they both continued to shed like crazy as though they had not even been groomed, unlike ANY time I've ever had my dog groomed in the past (at different places) over the last 7.5 years! My dog also has done nothing but itch ever since. All that for $97!!! That would have been outrageous even if she had bathed, cut the nails, cleaned the ears and furminated as most do! I've done a MUCH better job on my own in my bathtub for free!
