Choe's Martial Arts

I received a call on 5/4/17 from Choe's Martial Arts @ChoesMartialArts. They told me my son was unable to return to their after school program. My son is the third child of ours to attend Choe's Martial Arts. He has attended for 7 years and earned his black belt. He also performed for their demo team. Our family has always been involved with every event possible with the Choe's including picnics, Christmas parties and an uncounted number of belt test and ceremonies. We have always had a great relationship with the Choe's. In a matter of 3 weeks, they decided our sons "heart" was no longer in Taekwondo. They mentioned lightly to us on two occasions in the prior 3 weeks but never made it obvious they were going to kick our son out. They kicked my son out of their program with 3 weeks of school left because his "heart" wasn't in Taekwondo. He literally just performed for their demo team last November. He didn't have this accomplishment by not having parent support and his "heart" in it. I explained I needed him to attend their after school program and that we would do whatever possible to help get his "heart" in the program. They told me no and that he was no longer allowed to attend. We don't quit on our children and we didn't want to see them quit on our son. I work full time and need after school care at a place that can teach our children good family values and discipline. Instead we are without now. We've had to arrange special pickup for our child every day as it is difficult to find an after school program with only a few weeks left in school.

Choe's Martial Arts is fantastic. My daughter attended a friend's birthday party in February there and asked me the same day to take lessons. I have never been so proud of what she has accomplished there. This place is amazing. I couldn't believe how much they teach during a 45 minute lesson. They teach the children the Korean language during their lessons, teach children to be respectful, to be kind to others and give them a great sense of accomplishment when they do well.
