Waited 10 minutes for initial service though the place was nearly empty. Was brought stale corn chips and sent them back only to have them replaced with heated up stale corn chips. Meal was okay though I haven't seen baked potatoes presented to the customer still wrapped in foil in years. The ribs tasted as though they had been steamed though the menu says they're roasted...probably warmed in the same steamer as the stale chips. I wasn't expecting fine cuisine but neither was I expecting what I got, i.e., poor. Service was awful; waited ten more minutes for our drinks and the bar was only 20 feet away. Nice looking place, though, hence my 3 stars for atmosphere. Too bad the architect wasn't doing the cooking and serving.

Awful! Bad service, terrible bartenders and if the blonde one is working, just turn around and walk out!!!! Food is mediocre at best and overpriced for the area. My advice, stay home and order Domino's....

Truly enjoyed this place when it opened. But it's become stale. The menu never changes and it's become very boring.
Bar service is marginal. And heaven forbid the bartender comp you a free drink even after spending hours and $$$$ entertaining friends at the bar. It won't happen.
Better bet is David's Bistro in Antioch. Worth the drive.

We went to The Lake House on Mother's Day 2009, it was awful!!
I don't remember a worse server, he couldn't do anything. Yes, it was busy that day but he forgot our silverware, there wasn't any salt/pepper the usual table settings AND he forgot about us to even take our order. I ordered a smoked salmon pannini which was RAW fish that I didn't want because the server and menu didn't mention that it was raw - how is smoked anything raw anyway? Not actually possible!!!
Upon leaving, I asked for the manager at the hostess desk and she pointed him out for me to go seek him out rather than do her job and go get him. I pointed out that the menu does not mention raw fish and he did say that the server should have pointed it out (yeah right)! He looked about to give us a coupon or something but like we are going to go to that place again, NOT!!!
