Overall
Stuff is watching what customers eat

This is our first trip to this buffet which is located on Ronald Reagon Dr in Lake Saint Louis. When we approached the Restaurant, we immediately noticed dirty windows, which have not been cleaned at least for several days. Someone tried to wipe one side of the window clean with a greasy cloth and you could see the heavy smear.

We entered and a waitress came up to us and guided us to a table. We came around 4pm on Saturday, Feb. 20 2009. The place was almost empty, just one table was occupied yet. We ordered two soft drinks (Sierra Mist was the brand name they carry). There seems to be a tendency that Chinese buffet owners change from higher quality soft drinks, such as CocaCola, to a far lower brand name like Sierra Mist aso.

While the waitress went to get our soft drinks, we started our way the the counters. First impression was that the counters were just not very clean, although only two tables were occupied at this time. Maybe they did not clean up since the morning when they opened up???

I took a plate of warm crab legs which they had in a tray with a bit too much water. The size was very acceptable, not so small that you lose interest even to look at. The taste was so so, not very warm, not the right amount of salt and not easily to be taken out from the shell, which is an indicator that the legs are not really that fresh. PS. If you are a crab leg fan, do not make this buffet to be your number one buffet! When you try to get a second or third plate, the waitress will give a note to the person who works in teh kitchen not to fill up the tray till you are gone or at least started with the dessert. My little knowledge of Mandarin helped me to understand what the waitress was talking about. Oh by the way, expect the bill after 25 to 30 minutes! These people are not very serious in offering a buffet, fast profit is all they are looking for.

They have three counters and 2 counters along on two walls. There is also a sushi bar which I can not recommend as items already had a glance of dryness already, even placed under a fully covered tray. They have a tray with cooked salmon ( nothing exciting, small and not nicely prepared), a tray of frog legs, several kinds of shrimps, coated and coconut shrimps. The rest was standard as you expect to get in any Chinese buffet. They offer a freezer with 6 different ice containers. As I always say, most of these containers look awful and not appetizing. You see people placing ice back into the containers and after some time it looks like a garbage can.

The appearance of this buffet inside is slightly below average. Don't expect a warm presented buffet. Just go there if you are hungry and need to fill your stomach,
