Crowns
Crown lengthening is required when your tooth needs a new crown or restoration. Typically, the edge of the crown is too deep below the gum tissue and isnâ€™t accessible. Adjusting the levels of gum tissue and bone around the tooth allows us to reach this edge and ensure a proper fit to the tooth. Doing this provides enough structure for the tooth so the new crown does not come loose in the future. After the procedure is completed, a protective bandage will be put in place to help secure the new tooth-to-gum relationship.
