Golden Corral Restaurants

Had I written this review the second day that it was opened... I would have sung this locations praise and giving it all the stars. But, the quality has gone so far down hill since my last visit, it is not even the same place.

On April 1st my son and I drove over to take some April Fools photos to text my hubby who was off doing a Daddy / Daughter with the girls. The place was not open and would not open for another three weeks. But, the general manager (wish I had gotten his name) was there, and he gave my son and I a private tour. He also told my son to take a glass and when he brought it back, they would give us $5 off.

They opened on April 20th, my son's birthday was the following day, and he made us go. I knew it was going to be a mad house on the second day open. But, it was controlled chaos. Our waitress was AMAZING, especially considering how busy they were. The general manager even noticed us and made a fuss. When my son gave him the glass, he gave my boy a free meal since it was his birthday.

Flash forward not even two months later... Walking in the door the vibe was different. The place was filthy, chaos reigned, and the general manger no where in site.

The five of us were seated at a table that appeared to have been shoved in the establishment as an after thought. The waitress was a complete dingbat, but I tried to give her the benefit of the double. However, she went out of her way to impress upon me that not only was she incompetent as a waitress, but that she really did not care to be there pass social interaction with her co-workers. And as far as actual work, the only staff member that I noted doing any actually work was the waitress we had two months prior.

But even if we had been seated in her section, the food had taken a nose-dive in quality. And the attendance to care and presentation was gone.

The finally straw... my son became instantly sick after eating one plate of what they were serving. While my son violently threw up, in a trash can that my husband was able to grab from the serving area across from our table. The manager walked by with a glance before walking over to the service area to lean and drink soda. How do I know she was the manager... When I asked for a manager... she was the one pointed out to me. We just got up and left... never to return... Its almost been a year.
