Missaukee County Park Commission

The Missaukee County Park campground is next to Missaukee Lake with a great beach for swimming and enjoying the sun. However, the campground is mostly packed with season-long trailers that nearly touch each other. There are very few sites for long weekend or short-term camping. They have new restrooms and showers in the upper level, which is great if one can get a site in that part of the campground. All in all, this campground feels like you're packed in a sardine can.

We LOVE Lake City and the county park. We camp there almost every year. You can walk to town and the lake. If it rains we always go to Houghton Lake and do the tourist shopping thing. It is very family friendly.
