The La Porte YMCA Childcare & Learning Center offers various programs to enrich the motor and social skills of students. It participates in the State of Indiana Food Program, which serves free breakfast and lunch to low-income families. The center is located in La Porte, Ind., and is a part of the La Porte Family YMCA, which is a nonprofit organization that offers various youth development programs. The organization offers a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, lacrosse, hockey, soccer, softball and volleyball. Its wellness programs include classes in aerobics, dance and tae kwon do. In addition, the La Porte Family YMCA provides several wellness services that include massage therapy, personal training and nutrition counseling.
