Arbor Hills Nursing Center

Arbor Hills Nursing center was a nightmare. He was diagnosed with a raging MRSA eye infection after only being in Arbor Hills for two weeks. We were told he couldn't be isolated because it was against privacy laws to tell anyone he was infectious, so he was put in the entry hall and dining room with other patients, and even had a roommate. He fell 7 times in 12 days, and after the last fall was taken to the ER. When he arrived there, his eyes were caked with infection, his nails with caked with fecal matter (he had a stage 2 bedsore) and he was wearing someone else's shirt. He died a month later. When I tried to complain to the administrator, he told me it was my fault for putting him in Arbor Hills. Our experience in Arbor Hills will haunt us for the rest of our lives.
