Located in Kinston, N.C., Lenoir County Council on Aging provides assisted living services and organizes a variety of social activities for the elderly. The center offers a broad range of activities and classes for senior citizens. It provides various services, such as nutrition, home delivered meals, homebound telephone reassurance, in-home aide, senior companion and tax preparation services. The center additionally offers legal aide, medical transportation, nutrition promotion, health screenings, massage therapy, medication management and support groups for diabetic patitents. It organizes activities and classes in art, billiards, bingo, bowling, bridge, card games and chair aerobics. The center offers other activities, including checkers, chorus, crafts, dance, dominoes, line dance, music, quilting and scrapbooking.
