The staff at FF are nothing short of exemplary. I was fresh off the turnip truck, but as soon as I walked in, it was like a second homecoming. I came in as blind as a bat on my first handgun purchase, but Kimber stayed with me for a solid hour combing through their impressive offerings and helping me weigh my options, until I ultimately settled on a Glock 17! It's my everyday carry gun now. The manager on Duty -- Brad I think was his name -- was an absolute hoot. He stayed with me during the transaction and gabbed about everything from Obama to AK-47s. Their range is state-of-the-art, too; and I'm just disappointed I misplaced the free session vouchers they gave me, but I did get to try it out when I took my carry course there, and it's fantastic. The only gripe I have is that they wouldn't let me shoot my SKS there. It later came to my attention that their backstop is not rated for 7.62 caliber rounds, so I can't really begrudge them for that...they're just doing their jobs. Gun store's have garnered an unfair stigma for quite some time, and to the uninitiated it can be downright daunting. Rest assured, though, the good folks at Frontier Firearms are some of the friendliest, most down-home folks this side of the Mason-Dixon Line!!

Been awhile since I have felt this unimportant as a customer. Bought a Christmas gift certificate for my dad over the phone. My cc got charged right away, of course, but the certificate never came....after the first of the year, I called and finally got in touch with the owner, who couldn't offer an explanation and said that if I'd give my word that I wouldn't use the extra one, if it came, that he'd mail me another one...REALLY??? And guess what?? The second one never came either...big surprise. Guess I wasn't spending enough money. I don't get this attitude thing that all the reviews seem to echo. Rule number 1...without customers, u don't have a business!!! I guess it's the whole gun culture thing that I'm not familiar with. And you know the saddest thing about this whole thing? Not one person said "I'm sorry"...not one person said, "I'm sorry your dad didn't get the Christmas gift he was promised". I'm a believer in Scripture and it says, "he that is faithful in little, will be faithful in much"...so, I guess I'm glad I didn't spend alot here, because really, probably would have been treated the same. Sad

I have been pretty happy with my experience with Frontier. They have a pretty good selection of firearms at solid prices but it is impossible to beat their range. I will be coming back.

Gotta Love It Anyway

This store has such an amazing selection of weapons combined with an honest staff. The only problem is the lady that works the front counter. I had been in the store before looking at the same gun over and over. I walked in recently and as a young man behind the counter went to hand me the gun the lady yelled stop as if I were running out the door with the gun just to have him check my I.D. all in all though the other staff is great so are the weapons so I say... you gotta love it anyway

Fear KAOS0218, We are sorry that you had a negative experience and we very much appreciate the positive review. We have racked our brains trying to recall the incident you mention and can't. However, there are times when we do ask for ID before handing a handgun across the counter. If an customer looks less than 21 years of age, we ask for ID. For you see in most circumstances it is against Federal law for us to hand anyone under the age of 21 a pistol or revolver (its 18 for long guns) Perhaps you appear youthful and our sales lady mistook you to be younger than you are. The only other scenario I can imagine is if the salesperson was about to hand you a firearm without first making sure it was unloaded (clearing it). However, this would not explain why she asked for your id (is there any chance she thought you hot and wanted a date? LOL! just kidding). In any case, please come back and I'll give you a free shooting range pass!

Good Job

I have bought a lot of firearms from these guys and girl, they are very good at answering questions and they always answer them correct, they know their stuff. I don't drop a perfect 5 star because they can be a little grouchy and sometimes leave you feeling not so important. But that is only occasionally and not enough to stop me from shopping there. They also have a huge selection, small building but a lot of stuff to look at and do a good job of getting anything you need. Give them a try I think you will like what they do.

Dear Honesty Counts, We are really working on that grouchy thing! Now that we are finally in our new store and have the range operational a lot of the stress is off. But please, if ever we seem grouchy understand it is because we are tired or have too much stress (thankfully now that we have the range we can shoot off a bit of the stress!) On your future visits let us know if you feel we are being anything less that courteous or friendly. Speaking of stress please come down and shoot with us in our new range.
