Smithtowns parks, buildings and grounds is an all-inclusive department responsible for the maintenance, repair and enhancement of the infrastructure of the town of Smithtown, N.Y. Located in Kings Park, N.Y., the department provides maintenance of the numerous parks, beaches, properties and all municipal parking lots, including Long Island railroad train stations and landscape town properties. Additionally, it is responsible for the maintenance of all town-owned buildings, including the Smithtown municipal country club and pool. It repairs and maintains all town vehicles. It also hires and supervises lifeguards and park attendants, and issues permits for camping and picnicking at town facilities.
