Thai Pot

Great food! Great service! Lovely little place and a nice, exotic surprise in the Northern Neck. We'll be back often, I hope.

Having never tried Thai food before, I was a little reluctant to dine there because I'd heard that Thai food was very spicy. However, I was happy when the waitress informed me that I could choose from mild, medium, hot, or Thai hot for most of the items on the menu. I chose the Pad Thai, mainly because it sounded familiar to me and chose mild. My wife had the Makeau, which is Thai for egg plant. My Pad Thai was wonderful and not spicy at all, but with incredible flavor. I tried my wifes Makeau and it was exellent too, and such a pretty bright purple. It was a little spicy, but not too bad. I think next time we dine at Thai Pot, I'll try ordering my food medium. The decor at Thai Pot was very classy, and the waitress was friendly and knowledgable about the food. They had a full bar, but my wife and I both had a glass of Reisling because we'd heard it pares well with Thai Food, and it did.
