I was cared for by Dr. Christopher Black. As a former trial lawyer handling injury and death cases, I came to know/depose hundreds of doctors in virtually every specialty from UCSF to Stanford and throughout the Bay Area.. I had an acute virus-induced exacerbation of my COPD while on a 3-week vacation that had been in the planning for 1 and 1/2 years. I spent my entire vacation in bed in the condo. I don't know that I would have survived without Dr. Black, his expertise, his aggressive intervention, his kind care, and his obvious desire to bring all his knowledge to bear on my condition. Not only was he an A+ physician, but also he was a caring and gentle person with a great bedside manner personality. In short, he was a "Healing Angel". I cannot say enough praise for this giant among doctors. If you need medical help while visiting this area, you will need to have this man in charge of managing your clinical care.
